Even though it is normally the case that installation is
performed by your dealer, the Caresta stairlift has been carefully designed
to be simple to install by any person of modest strength who can safely
lift a 56 lb carton and a 44 lb installable item. It is equivalent to assembling
and erecting a bookcase or a desk, and is considerably easier to do than
installing a garage door opener. It requires no electrical or mechanical
knowledge, needing only the tightening of some screws and bolts, and plugging
in to a regular wall outlet. With some planning it can be done in about
one hour and requires only a few household tools.
The Caresta stairlift can be delivered by your dealer or
directly to your home in four packages weighing a total of 160 lb.

Package 1, containing the rail is 8” x 8” x
96”, and weighs 56 lb.
Package 2, containing the carriage is 10” x 14” x 15”,
and weighs 38 lb.
Package 3, containing the seat and footrest is 25” x 25” x
8”, and weighs 54 lb.
Package 4, containing the rail brackets and parts is 12” x 8” x
6” and weighs 12 lb.
